Hybrid flooring

An example quote for about 64 m² of hybrid flooring was $6,950 plus GST, about $108 per m². Flooring stores often take a deposit of around 40% and the balance two days before installation, because the product is cut to size.

Installation can happen as soon as the day after handover if it is booked about three weeks ahead.

Roller blinds

Roller blinds for a whole single-storey house typically cost between $2,200 and $4,500, depending on the number of windows and whether bedrooms get blockout. A split blind on a wide sliding door adds about $160. Fabric width is usually limited to about 3 m.

  • Measure before handover and pay a deposit so blinds are fitted in the first weeks
  • Ask for blockout in bedrooms and light-filtering in living areas
  • Check the warranty on the fabric backing; some can peel in strong sun
